About Eupithecia cretaceata (Packard, 1874)
Eupithecia cretaceata (Packard, 1874) is a species of moth belonging to the family Geometridae. It has a wide distribution that covers Canada and large portions of the United States in North America. In Europe, this species occurs in France, Switzerland, Austria, and parts of the Balkan Peninsula. The wingspan of adult Eupithecia cretaceata measures approximately 26 mm. In North America, adult moths are active in flight from June through September. In North America, the larvae of this species feed on the flowers and seeds of Veratrum viride; in Europe, they feed on the flowers and seeds of Veratrum album.
