This species has a distribution that ranges from eastern Newfoundland and Labrador, across Canada to western British Columbia. It extends south to northern New Mexico, as well as to Apache and Coconino counties in Arizona. The wingspan of adult Eupithecia anticaria is approximately 18 millimeters. Adult moths are active and on wing from May to July each year.
