About Eumorpha capronnieri Boisduval

This moth species has a wingspan ranging from 102 to 106 mm. It is visually similar to Eumorpha phorbas, but can be told apart by the mottled green and brown pattern on the upperside of its forewings. Additionally, the undersides of its wings and body are less yellow in color, and this difference is especially noticeable in female individuals. Its distribution extends from French Guiana north to southern Nicaragua and Costa Rica, and it is believed to also be present in Panama. To the south, its range reaches as far as Bolivia and northern Argentina.
