About Eudonia leptalea Meyrick

Eudonia leptalea Meyrick has a wingspan ranging from 16 to 19 mm. Its forewings are whitish-ochreous or ochreous-grey, speckled with dark fuscous or black scales, and additionally densely speckled with white scales. The wing markings vary in how distinct they are, and may sometimes be almost completely indistinct. The first line on the forewings is white, with a dark border along its posterior edge. The second line on the forewings is also white, and is bordered by dark scales. The species' hindwings are whitish-grey, with a darker postmedian line and darker grey suffusion along the hindmargin. Adult Eudonia leptalea Meyrick have been recorded flying between January and March.
