About Eudeilinia herminiata Guenée, 1857

Eudeilinia herminiata, commonly known as the northern eudeilinia, is a moth species belonging to the family Drepanidae. It was first described by Achille Guenée in 1857. This species is native to North America, with recorded ranges extending from British Columbia to Newfoundland, south to Florida, and west to Texas. Its preferred habitats are deciduous woods and the edges of deciduous woods. The wingspan of adult Eudeilinia herminiata measures 25 to 30 mm. Adults are active from April to September, and produce one generation per year. The larvae of this moth feed on plants from the Cornus genus.
