About Eucrypta micrantha (Torr.) A.Heller
Eucrypta micrantha is one of only two species in the Eucrypta genus, a group of sticky, aromatic annual herbs. This species grows multiple thin, densely glandular stems that reach no longer than around 30 centimeters. Its leaves are roughly oval in overall shape, but are intricately split into many lobes of varying forms. Most leaves grow along the lower portion of the stem; any leaves that develop higher on the stem are much smaller. The inflorescence bears several tiny flowers, whose sepals are often coated in black glands. Each flower is just a few millimeters wide, and is white or purple with a yellow throat. The fruit it produces is a bristly capsule that measures 2 or 3 millimeters wide.
