About Euchaetis rhizobola Meyrick, 1888
Euchaetis rhizobola is a species of moth in the family Oecophoridae. This moth is found in Australia, with recorded occurrences in New South Wales, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory, Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia. It has a wingspan measuring 31 to 33 millimeters.
Its forewings are ferruginous, speckled and marked with very pale greyish-ochreous, and have a rosy-colored costal edge. A short streak runs along the base of the inner margin, forming a spot at the base. There is also a moderately sized, irregular-edged costal streak that is rather broad at the base; this streak emits two irregular, oblique wedge-shaped projections, one located at one-fourth of the wing and one at the middle. The first projection extends to the fold before the middle of the wing, and the second extends to a whitish dot in the disc at three-fifths of the wing. Three poorly defined grey-whitish dots sit below the posterior half of the costal streak, and these dots are almost merged with the streak. A grey-whitish submarginal line is present, which becomes marginal along the lower half of the hindmargin, and its anterior edge is wavy.
The hindwings are pale whitish-ochreous with a yellowish tinge; the apex is more ochreous-yellowish, and sometimes carries a slight rosy tinge.
