Eubotrys recurva (Buckley) Britton is a branching shrub that reaches a maximum height of 4 m (13 feet). Its leaves can grow up to 8 cm (3.2 in) long. It produces bell-shaped (campanulate) flowers that range in color from white to pale pink. The fruit it forms is a dry capsule. This species grows in habitats including moist forests, bogs, and granitic domes, at elevations up to 1500 m (5000 feet). It has been documented to occur in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Virginia, West Virginia, and New York State.
