Ethmostigmus trigonopodus is a species of centipede that belongs to the family Scolopendridae. This species has several common names, which are the African giant centipede and the Tanzanian blue ring centipede. Individuals of Ethmostigmus trigonopodus from northern Nigeria can reach sexual maturity within one year, a trait that is uncommon among centipedes. Two valid subspecies of this species are currently recognized: E. trigonopodus trigonopodus and E. trigonopodus pygmenasoides.
