Ethmia heptasema is a moth species that belongs to the family Depressariidae. This species is found in the rainforests of Australia's coastal mountains, ranging from central Queensland south to the Illawarra region of New South Wales. It may also occur in New Guinea. The larvae of Ethmia heptasema are thought to feed on Ehretia acuminata.
