About Etanna breviuscula (Walker, 1863)
Etanna breviuscula (Walker, 1863) has a wingspan of approximately 20–24 mm. On its forewing, vein 10 is stalked together with veins 7, 8 and 9, while veins 3 and 4 on the hindwings are stalked. The head, thorax, and abdomen are pale brown, and the forewings are pale red brown. An oblique black streak runs from the costa near the base to above the centre of the inner margin. A waved pale antemedial line and a postmedial line angled outwards beyond the cell are visible. The inner area between the base and the postmedial line is greyish. The apical area is suffused with white, and three black costal striae run before the apex. Two black streaks lie above the outer angle, which is suffused with black and white. The hindwings are white, with slight fuscous suffusion along the outer margin. This species is a minor pest; its larvae feed on a wide range of plants, including Grevillea glauca, Desmodium species, and the flowers of Mangifera indica.
