About Erythranthe montioides (A.Gray) N.S.Fraga
Erythranthe montioides is an annual hairy herb that reaches a maximum height of approximately 18 centimeters, or 7 inches. Its leaves are arranged oppositely along the stem, have a linear shape, and grow up to 3 centimeters, or 1.2 inches, long. The species produces tubular flowers with wide openings, which can be solid yellow, solid purple, or bicolored; some populations contain multiple different flower color types. The opening of the flower is split into five main lobes, and each main lobe may be further divided into two smaller lobes.
