Erythranthe floribunda (Lindl.) G.L.Nesom is morphologically variable, occurring in several different forms. As a general rule, it is an annual herb with a thin stem 3 to 50 centimeters long that grows either upright or decumbent. The plant has a hairy texture, and is sometimes slimy. Its oppositely arranged leaves vary in size and shape. The tubular base of each flower is encapsulated in a hairy calyx of sepals with pointed lobes. The flower corolla is yellow, and grows up to 1.5 centimeters long.
