About Erysimum repandum L.
Erysimum repandum L. is a species of the Erysimum genus that has several common names: spreading wallflower, spreading treacle-mustard, and bushy wallflower. It is native to Eurasia, but has become an introduced species in many other regions around the world, where it commonly grows as a roadside weed. This plant is an annual herb that reaches a maximum height of around 0.5 meters, or 1 foot 8 inches. Its basal stem leaves are widely lance-shaped, with bumpy or toothed edges, and can grow up to 15 centimeters, or 5.9 inches, long. Leaves located higher on the stem are shorter, narrower, and either more shallowly lobed or completely unlobed. The top of the stem holds a raceme inflorescence that bears many yellow flowers. Its fruit is a silique that can grow up to 10 centimeters, or 3.9 inches, long.
