Erysimum pallasii (Pursh) Fernald has the scientific synonym Erysimum redowskii, and is commonly known as Pallas' wallflower. This is a low to medium height shrub species native to the Arctic. It produces purple flowers that do not reflect ultraviolet light. Pallas' wallflower has a circumpolar subarctic distribution, and can be found across northern Europe, Asia, and North America. It is widespread throughout the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, and is common in Greenland, northwestern Canada, and Alaska. This species is thought to be apomictic. It is rarely visited by insects, and its seed production does not depend on visits from flower visitors.
