About Eristalinus sepulchralis (Linnaeus, 1758)
This is a technical description of Eristalinus sepulchralis (Linnaeus, 1758). The wing length of this species ranges from 6.5 to 8 mm. In both sexes, the eyes are covered entirely in hairs and marked with noticeable black spots. The tergites are black, with green or other types of iridescent reflections. Tergites 2 and 3 each have a dull spot. In males, the eyes are clearly separated on the frons. The dorsal surface of the thorax has five grey stripes.
