Eriogonum tiehmii Reveal is a small, perennial herbaceous plant. It reaches approximately 30 centimeters (12 inches) across, and grows up to 16 centimeters (6 inches) tall. It produces blue-grey leaves that are 1 to 2 centimeters (0.4 to 0.8 inches) long, and 5 to 8 millimeters (0.2 to 0.3 inches) across. White or grey hairs cover both leaf surfaces; older plants may lose the hairs from the upper surfaces of their leaves. It flowers briefly in spring after rainfall, and produces a small, round yellow bloom.
