About Eriogonum strictum Benth.

Eriogonum strictum Benth. is a perennial herb. It forms leaf mats up to 40 centimeters wide, and produces many branches with erect inflorescences growing on stems 10 to 35 centimetres (3+7⁄8 to 13+3⁄4 inches) in height. Woolly, oval-shaped leaves grow from near the base of the plant, and measure one to four centimeters long. The leaves are typically held vertically on a long petiole, and often look silvery because of their dense covering of woolly hairs. The slender inflorescence stalks are woolly, and bear flower clusters at their top. The flowers are cream to pale yellow, and darken to reddish or orange as they age.
