About Eriogonum spergulinum A.Gray

This species of buckwheat, Eriogonum spergulinum A.Gray, is an annual herb that varies in growth form from prostrate to erect. The entire plant, including its inflorescence, reaches up to 40 centimeters in length. It is mostly bare, with only sparse linear leaves growing around the base of the stem and at intervals along the stem. Its slender branching flowering stems hold clusters of small white flowers that have dark midribs, giving the plant a floating appearance similar to baby's breath.
