About Eriochloa sericea (Scheele) Munro ex Vasey

Eriochloa sericea (Scheele) Munro ex Vasey is a grass species commonly called Texas cupgrass. It is native to Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas in the United States, as well as northern Mexico. This perennial grass grows in tufts and reaches a maximum height of 3.5 feet. In the wild, it grows on rocky, loamy soils in prairie habitats. It is considered good forage grass for grazing livestock. It can tolerate moderate grazing pressure, but cannot withstand overgrazing.
