About Erica pillansii Bolus
Erica pillansii Bolus is a species in the genus Erica that grows in fynbos. This plant species is endemic to South Africa's Western Cape, where it is found growing on low hills located between Pringle Bay and Kleinmond. It was once widely popular as a cut flower, but this use is no longer practiced. Populations of Erica pillansii are protected within the Kogelberg Nature Reserve. One subspecies is recognized for this species: Erica pillansii subsp. fervida (L.Bolus) E.G.H.Oliv. & I.M.Oliv.
