About Erica bauera Andrews

Erica bauera, commonly known as Albertinia white heath or bridal heath, is a plant species in the genus Erica that is part of the fynbos vegetation. This species is endemic to South Africa's Western Cape, where its natural range extends from Riversdale to Albertinia. It is a popular garden plant, but it is rare in its native natural habitat. Since 2012, the size of its available natural habitat has decreased drastically by 90%, a decline caused by invasive plants, overgrazing, agricultural activities, and insufficient management of its natural range.
