Karoo eremomela, whose scientific name is Eremomela gregalis, is also commonly called the yellow-rumped eremomela. This bird species was previously grouped with the "Old World warbler" assemblage, but is now classified in the family Cisticolidae. It occurs in Namibia and South Africa, and its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
