Eremias velox (Pallas, 1771), a species of lizard, is commonly called the rapid racerunner, Central Asian racerunner, or rapid fringe-toed lizard. This lizard can be found in Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Afghanistan, China, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia. Another lizard species, Eremias vermiculata, is also sometimes referred to as the Central Asian racerunner.
