About Epione repandaria (Hufnagel, 1767)

This moth species, Epione repandaria (Hufnagel, 1767), has a wingspan ranging from 25 to 30 mm. Forewings measure 13 to 16 mm in length. The base colour of the forewings is yellow, with scattered orange flecks; the forewing veins are also orange. Fasciae on the forewings are black-brown. The basal fascia forms a right angle at its midpoint, while the distal fascia ends at the apical tip of the wing. The distal area of the forewing is shaded grey, and it bears a small black discal spot. Hindwings share a similar appearance to forewings, but lack the basal fascia, and their distal fascia does not extend all the way to the wing apex.
