The breaksea cod (Epinephelides armatus), which is also known as black-arse cod or tiger cod, is a species of marine ray-finned fish that belongs to the family Anthiadidae. This species is endemic to Australia. Its natural habitats include the open sea, shallow seas, subtidal aquatic beds, and coral reefs. Epinephelides armatus is the only member of the genus Epinephelides.
