About Epilobium leptophyllum Raf.

Epilobium leptophyllum Raf. is a species of flowering plant in the evening primrose family. It has two common names: bog willowherb and linear-leaved willowherb. This species is native to most of eastern and northern North America, where it grows in moist habitats including bogs. It is a perennial herb that can reach up to one meter in height, and spreads via tiny stolons. Its leaves are generally linear in shape, but can sometimes be wider, even nearly oval, and grow up to around 7.5 centimeters long. The inflorescence is a raceme made up of small flowers, with petals that range from white to pink and are a few millimeters long. Its fruit is a hairy, elongated capsule that can grow up to 8 centimeters in length.
