About Epicoma contristis Hübner, 1823
Epicoma contristis, commonly called the yellow-spotted epicoma, is a moth species belonging to the family Notodontidae. It was first formally described by Jacob Hübner in 1823. This species has been recorded in Australia, with occurrences documented in Tasmania, New South Wales, and Victoria. The larvae of Epicoma contristis feed on the foliage of plants from the genera Casuarina, Eucalyptus, Leptospermum, and Melaleuca.
