About Ephedra przewalskii Stapf

Ephedra przewalskii is a species of the plant genus Ephedra. It is native to Central Asia, Mongolia, Pakistan, and specific regions of China: Gansu, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Qinghai, and Tibet. This species was first formally described by Otto Stapf in 1889, who placed it in section Alatae of the genus, within the tribe Tropidolepides. In 1996, botanist Robert A. Price retained E. przewalskii in section Alatae, and did not recognize the tribe Tropidolepides for this classification.
