About Epeus glorius Żabka, 1985
This jumping spider species was formally described as Epeus glorius by Żabka in 1985. For male Epeus glorius, total body length ranges from 6.80 to 8 millimeters. Their carapace is light brown and covered with sparse hair; the sides and front margin of the eye region have additional sparse white hair. Males have a slender, cylindrical abdomen, with a light brownish-yellow dorsal surface that has no distinct markings. This species can be told apart from other similar species in the genus Epeus by features of the male genitalia: the male has a long cymbial apophysis that bears small serrula along its ventral edge, and a well-developed retrolateral tibial apophysis. Female Epeus glorius have a total body length of approximately 10 millimeters, and can be identified by their widely separated copulatory openings, which have two depressions located between them. Epeus glorius is distributed across multiple Asian countries, with confirmed records from China (Chongqing municipality, and Yunnan, Guangdong, and Guangxi provinces), Vietnam, and Malaysia.
