About Entoloma subcarneum (Largent) Blanco-Dios

Entoloma subcarneum, also called Leptonia carnea and commonly known as the indigo leptonia, is a mushroom species that belongs to the subgenus Leptonia of the genus Entoloma. Its cap is dark bluish and measures 2.5–7 centimetres (1–2+3⁄4 inches) wide. The gills are lighter in color than the cap, and they produce a pinkish spore deposit. The bluish stalk can grow up to 10 centimetres long and 1.5 centimetres thick. This species is only confirmed to occur in California, and may be found nowhere else, making it a rare mushroom.
