About Entocybe nitida (Quél.) T.J.Baroni, Largent & V.Hofst.

The cap of Entocybe nitida is mostly dark blue, and lightens in color as the mushroom ages, with lighter coloration also present on the cap margins. Its gills range from whitish to pinkish, and are adnexed to notched. The stipe measures 3 to 8.5 centimeters long and 0.25 to 0.5 centimeters wide, is blue in overall color, and is whitish at its base. This species produces a pinkish spore print. Entocybe nitida grows under conifer trees, in moss and duff.
