About Enicurus scouleri Vigors, 1832
This species has the scientific name Enicurus scouleri Vigors, 1832, commonly called the little forktail. Males and females look identical, with black and white plumage. The upperparts are black, with a white forehead. A white wing band stretches across the lower back, with a small black patch on the rump. It has a short, slightly forked tail with white coloring on the outer feathers. The throat is black, and the underparts are white. The little forktail inhabits mountain streams, waterfalls, and small shaded forest puddles, and breeds between 1200 and 3700 meters in elevation. It occurs in the Tian Shan and Himalayan mountain ranges, southern China, and Taiwan. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest, and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
