About Endiandra muelleri Meisn.
Endiandra muelleri subsp. muelleri is a tree that grows up to 30 metres tall, with a trunk that can reach 75 centimetres in diameter. The base of the tree may be buttressed and flanged. Its brown bark has an irregular texture, marked by craters, depressions, and loose bark plates. Leaf-bearing twigs are green, covered in fine, flat, straight hairs. New shoots bear bright pink or red leaves and have fawn-coloured hairs. Leaves are 6 to 12 centimetres long and 3 to 5 centimetres wide. They are green, shiny, and smooth on both surfaces, with a paler colour on the underside. Leaves range from broad lanceolate to elliptic in shape, with a leaf stem 3 to 6 millimetres long. Occasionally, one to four hairy tufts or bumps can be found on the underside of the leaf, next to the junction of the leaf veins and the mid-vein.
