About Endiandra hayesii Kosterm.

Endiandra hayesii is usually a small, crooked tree; however, an individual at Minyon Falls reaches 35 metres (115 feet) tall with a trunk diameter of 60 cm. Trunks are usually straight on smaller trees, and become buttressed on larger trees. The bark is grey or grey-brown, fairly smooth with some scattered scales. Small branches bear rusty brown hairs, and leaf buds are covered in furry yellow hairs. Leaves measure 6 to 12 cm long and 3 to 6 cm wide. They are hairy and dull, especially on the underside, which has reddish brown leaf hairs and visible veins. Leaf stems are hairy, and 5 to 10 mm long.
