Emydura subglobosa, originally described by Krefft in 1876, is a hard-shelled aquatic turtle that belongs to the family Chelidae. It is typically one of the most brightly colored species within this family. This turtle's geographic range covers northern Queensland, Australia, as well as southern New Guinea. It inhabits freshwater environments including rivers, swamps, lagoons, and lakes.
