Elophila ekthlipsis, commonly known as the nymphula moth, is a moth species that belongs to the Crambidae family. This species was first described by Augustus Radcliffe Grote in 1876. It is native to North America, with confirmed records from the Great Lakes region. This area includes the US states of Indiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Wisconsin, as well as the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Ontario, and Quebec. Elophila ekthlipsis inhabits ponds and marshes. The wingspan of adult moths ranges from 18 to 26 millimeters. Active adults can be seen between June and August, and this species creates portable cases.
