About Elophila difflualis (Snellen)
Elophila difflualis (Snellen) is a species of moth in the family Crambidae. It was first described by Pieter Cornelius Tobias Snellen in 1880. This species is native to South-East Asia, Australia, and Réunion, and has been introduced to the United Kingdom. Males have a wingspan of 11–13 mm, while females have a wingspan of 13–18 mm. The larvae of Elophila difflualis feed on plants from multiple families: Hydrocharitaceae (genus Valisneria), Rosaceae (genus Synnema), Alismataceae (genus Echinodorus), Potamogetonaceae (genus Potamogeton), and Marsileaceae (genus Marsilea).
