About Elodina angulipennis (Lucas, 1852)
Elodina angulipennis, commonly called the common pearl white, is a butterfly species that belongs to the Pieridae family. This butterfly is found along the north-eastern coast of Australia. Its adult wingspan measures approximately 40 millimeters. The larvae of Elodina angulipennis feed on a variety of plant species from the Capparaceae family, specifically including Capparis arborea and Capparis canescens. When larvae reach their full grown stage, they grow to a length of about 20 millimeters. This species pupates inside a green pupa.
