Ellipsidion australe, commonly known as the eastern ellipsidion or the bush cockroach, is a harmless species of cockroach. It is native to Australia, where it occurs in the states and territories of New South Wales, the Northern Territory, Queensland, and Victoria. This species was first formally described in 1863 by Henri de Saussure, under the original name Thyrsocera australis. Its accepted scientific name is Ellipsidion australe Saussure, 1863.
