About Eleutherodactylus inoptatus (Barbour, 1914)
Eleutherodactylus inoptatus, commonly called the Diquini robber frog, is a species of frog in the family Eleutherodactylidae. It is endemic to Hispaniola, where it occurs in both Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Females reach approximately 88 mm (3.5 in) in snout–vent length, making this the largest species of eleutherodactylid frog. This species is common, and inhabits mesic hardwood forests. It can also survive in coffee and banana plantations, provided trees and shade are present. It is currently threatened by habitat loss.
