Elephantulus myurus, first described by Thomas & Schwann in 1906, is a species of elephant shrew commonly called the eastern rock elephant shrew or eastern rock sengi. It belongs to the family Macroscelididae. This species occurs in Botswana, Mozambique, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland and rocky areas. It forages primarily in rocky areas, and its preferred food is insects.
