Elegia similella Zincken, 1818 is a species of moth in the family Pyralidae. This moth was first described by Johann Leopold Theodor Friedrich Zincken in 1818, and it can be found across most of Europe. Its preferred habitats are old, mature woodlands and parklands. This moth has a wingspan ranging from 19 to 22 millimeters. Adults are active from June to July, and they typically live high up in trees. The larvae of Elegia similella feed on Quercus species, which are commonly known as oaks.
