Elaeodendron transvaalense (Burtt Davy) R.H.Archer is a flowering plant species belonging to the family Celastraceae. It has multiple common names across regional languages: bushveld saffron in English; Bosveld-saffraan, Lepelhout, and Oupitjie in Afrikaans; Monomane in Tsonga; Mulumanamana in Venda; and Ingwavuma in Zulu. This tree is a protected species in South Africa. It can also be found growing in other Southern African countries, including Angola, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, and Mozambique.
