About Echeveria runyonii Rose
Echeveria runyonii Rose forms a rosette that is 8 to 10 cm (3.1 to 3.9 in) across. Its leaves range in shape from spatulate-cuneate to oblong-spatulate, with apexes from truncate to acuminate, and all leaves end in a small sharp mucronate tip. The leaves are colored glaucous pinkish-white, and measure 6–8 cm long by 2.5–4 cm wide (2.4–3.1 in by 1.0–1.6 in). This species produces a single stem that can reach 10 cm (3.9 in) or more in length, with a diameter of roughly 1 cm (0.39 in). Its inflorescences grow 15–20 cm (5.9–7.9 in) tall, and bear 2 to 3 cincinni, conspicuous bracts, and pedicels that are approximately 4 mm long. The species has red flowers with ascending-spreading sepals that grow up to 11 mm long, and pentagonal corollas that measure 19–20 mm long by 10 mm wide. Echeveria desmetiana shares the similar glaucous leaf color of Echeveria runyonii, but differs because Echeveria desmetiana has wedge-shaped leaves with small pointed mucronulate tips.
