Dysosma pleiantha (Hance) Woodson has the scientific synonym Podophyllum pleianthum. Commonly called the many-flowered Chinese mayapple, this species of flowering plant is placed in the genus Podophyllum. It is native to south-central and southeast China, including Taiwan. It is shade tolerant and deer resistant because of its toxicity. This plant has received the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
