About Dyscophellus euribates (Stoll, 1782)

This species, scientifically named Dyscophellus euribates (Stoll, 1782), has a wingspan ranging from 28 to 30 mm. Its forewings are tawny brown, featuring three large, partially translucent yellow-orange discal macules, and two to three additional translucent subapical macules of the same yellow-orange color. The hindwings have a small area covered in shiny scales. Adult individuals of this species are crepuscular, active during twilight. Dyscophellus euribates (also referenced as Euriphellus euribates) occurs from Costa Rica southward to Bolivia and southern Brazil.
