About Duvaucelia plebeia (G.Johnston, 1828)

Duvaucelia plebeia, first described by G. Johnston in 1828, is a marine nudibranch. It is primarily yellow with brown mottling, and can grow up to 30 millimeters in length. It is indigenous to the Northeastern Atlantic Ocean, ranging from Norway to Portugal. This species has also been introduced to coastal areas of Maine and Massachusetts in North America, most likely via ship ballast water.
