Dumontinia is a fungal genus that belongs to the family Sclerotiniaceae. This genus is monotypic, meaning it contains only one species: Dumontinia tuberosa. This species can be found in Europe. The genus name Dumontinia honors Kent Parsons Dumont, an American mycologist born in 1941 who worked at the New York Botanical Garden. The genus was first circumscribed by Linda M. Kohn in 1979, published in Mycotaxon volume 9, issue 2, on page 432.
