About Duellmanohyla soralia (Wilson & McCranie, 1985)

Duellmanohyla soralia, commonly known as the Copan brook frog, is a small species of tree frog. Males grow to approximately 32 mm (1.3 in) in length, while females reach about 38 mm (1.5 in). This frog has a very blunt snout and prominent eyes with red irises. Males have a single vocal sac under the throat, along with a pair of vocal slits. Its dorsal surface is brown, with a distinct pattern of pale-edged green, olive, and black spots or blotches. The ventral surface is yellow, and the outer surface of the fore limb has a pattern of white streaks. This species is endemic to mountainous regions of northwest Honduras and northeast Guatemala. It inhabits moist tropical forest and cloud forest at altitudes up to 1,570 m (5,150 ft) above sea level.
